Thank goodness I live in New England, where we don't have natural phenomenons of Biblical proportions. If you've ever read the book of Exodus, these cicadas have a smacking resemblance to the locust plagues of ancient Egypt. Give me a nor'easter any day....

they are gross! we get them here in PA.
We have cicadas in Maryland. They came three years ago and come out about once every 17 years. Everyone made a big deal out of them, but to be honest, I never really saw them.
