No Phone, No Vonage, No Internet, Not a single luxury

  • I'm back from the Deep South (Baltimore) and as always, Baltimore is my number one favorite place to visit workwise. This obviously has something to do with the fact that I can stay with my sister which makes travelling a lot more enjoyable. We hit up downtown Baltimore, sang with the pianist at Howling at the Moon, and then went white water rafting in West Virginia.

  • White water rafting was soooo much fun. While the rapids were pretty weak, it was fun to spend a 90+ degree day hanging out on the Shenendoah River. We passed lots of folks just hanging out on rafts, drinking beer, and fly fishing. So this is how the rest of the country lives.....

  • Troll and I spent about 4 hours rowing a boat by ourselves, since our guide and boatmates made it pretty obvious that they were just there for the ride. The good news: I'm in a lot better shape that I thought it was. Perhaps it's the 20 push-ups a year I do to keep myself in peak physical performance?

  • While Baltimore was very productive workwise, and fun socially, I'm glad to be back home. Whether you stay at a $450 a night hotel or your sister's pull out sofa, there is still nothing that beats a night in your own bed.

  • For the past day and a half I've been without a landline, Vonage, and Internet. Around noon on Monday I picked up my Vonage phone and realized that I didn't have a dial-tone. Long story short, I switched from Verizon to Comcast, 86ed the landline/fax machine, and spent a very long day on the phone with reps from three different companies. It's been frustrating to say the least since without Internet I am unable to work. Thanks to Daddy Dearest fixing my new Comcast connection, this home based employee is smiling and back online.

  • I hung out with one of my dedicated blog fans and Braintree super star, Anthony Michael Hall, last night. We engaged in three of my favorite activities: sushi, wine, and theological discussions. Hi, JH :).

  • Did you know that Anthony Michael Hall (the actor, not my date) is originally from Dorchester?

  • One last piece of random information from the past four days: while driving to meet Anthony Michael Hall I spotted a Puerto Rican license plate. Random?

  • Pahkcah02 and her schizophrenic blog entry - out!

haha I dont know what is funnier, the fact that AMH and you meet or that you have a code name for a guy your dating named AMH.

I get that you didn't actually meet the real, great AMH.
