Weekend Update with Pahkcah02

  • Did you know that for $1 you can get pizza dough from Bertucci's that is already rolled out? Making dough from flour and yeast is not that difficult but rolling it out so that it's even and cooks right requires skill that only a dude making minimum wage in a pizza shop can accomplish. Add your own toppings, stick on a pizza stone in a 450 degree oven, and you've got yourself a tasty pizza at a fraction of the cost. Thank you, oh Randolph cousin of mine, for helping me discover this during our Friday family ho down.

  • Next time you roll through the Brockton/Whitman area go see my buddy Jerry at Spee Dee Oil on Route 27 in the City of Champions. Because I worked with small, local businesses in my previous job I was a big believer in doing business with people who do business with you. Even though I'm no longer with that company, I still drive 30 minutes every quarter to get my oil changed at Spee Dee. They're seriously just that honest.

  • I took the T on Saturday to Attorney Lee's party in Beacon Hill. I had a great time at the party, drank way too much champagne, and took the T back to Quincy without even a minor scrape. Then again, I brought along protection (Denise is on Fire). All of you Universal Hub hippies can officially cut the shit regarding all previous anti-mass transit postings.

  • This blogger thought her Degrassi addiction was embarrassing until she discovered Attorney Lee's copy of New York Minute prominately displayed with the rest of her movie collection. For the record, Ashley is her favorite Olsen twin.

  • "I'll bet the Chinese food here is terrible" - My Cousin Vinny. I am happy to report that ethnic food in New Hampshire finally consists of more than an Italian sub from Subway. Nestled between the gun clubs, cheap liquor, and anti-government militias there is a Chinese restaurant in Nashua that is upscale and tasty. If you find yourself up that way check out Lilac Blossom on Amherst Street. May I recommend the tangerine beef?

  • I had my monthly company meeting in Connecticut yesterday. I am officially a sales manager. Somewhere in hell they're celebrating this momentous event with a snowball fight.

  • On the way back I stopped off at Nay's grandfather's shiva (Jewish memorial service) outside of Hartford. I absolutely love Nay's family. I was hanging out in the kitchen when one of her aunt's approached her brother and started off a conversation by saying "So I was at my colonoscopy....". Priceless!

  • Tomorrow night = dinner at a new French restaurant in Boston. I'll be sure to brief you all with my findings. From what I've read this place is supposed to be outstanding.

As for Pizza dough -you've got to watch the pizza dough throwing contest on the food network, it's great. These guys roll the dough across their backs and through it in the air as high as 35 ft.
