Wednesday - Because A Lot Goes Down Between Tuesday and Thursday

  • Here's a shocker for you - I watched Priveledged on CW and guess what? I actually liked it! Who knew that it wasn't beyond the limits of CW writers to script a decent show? If you missed it, be sure to check it out online.

  • Between tainted news reporting and blogs like this one, the 2008 Presidential election has gotten downright dirty. I think most of you know who I'm voting for (hint: he won't have a (D) next to his name) but I certainly don't take offense to the fact that pretty much everyone else I know isn't voting in favor. Honestly, if you want me to list my very personal reasons for thinking/voting the way I do, I'll be more than happy to tell you offline. However, I doubt it will change your mind, and your stance certainly won't change mine. So let's just agree to disagree, huh?

  • I just learned that the venue of my 10 year high school reunion has been changed from a veterans club to a place that is way more appropriate (eg: I don't have to bring my own toilet paper). I'm still not sure that I want to go (the Troll is lobbying hard for my attendance) but at least if I do attend I can rest assured that I won't have to lounge on a folding chair while sipping Bud Light from a plastic cup. Kudos to the reunion committee for seeing the light - nothing quite says "success" like coming out of your reunion and realizing that your car wasn't broken into.

  • In case you didn't get the memo, I am pleased to announce that my "band" is currently playing a worldwide Rock Band tour. We disguise ourselves as avatars and play cover songs in my living room through the Wii system. I originally got the game so I could play the drums (pahkcah02 tidbit: I played drums for 7 years) but since playing Rock Band drums isn't anything like playing real drums, I have mainly been focusing on the electric guitar. It's a ton of fun bouncing up and down to the beat with a faux Statocaster on your hip. I'm you've got an inkling of musical talent (though that's not completely necessary), I'm still looking for a bassist, drummer, and lead vocalist.

  • Here's a question for all of you gamers: does playing for an extended period of time make you completely motion sick? I recently got Cabela's Big Game Hunter and running through the woods in pursuit of elk makes me completely ill. Would taking a Dramamine before video gaming help?

  • On a completely different note, Cousin N will be dining with me this evening. I'm pretty sure that ruckus will ensue.
